Domestic electrical

We undertake all domestic electrical work - rewires, new consumer units, additional lights and sockets, outside lighting and power, garage supplies, and fault finding. We also provide testing services, including landlord EICRs.

Property wiring and rewiring

Whether a new or old property, complete or partial rewiring brings your property to the latest regulations, including surge and arc fault protection. A full design is undertaken to ensure your new electrical system is fit for purpose, based on your requirements.

Replacement consumer units

The hub of your electrical system, the consumer unit (or fuse box) is an essential component that should be kept in excellent condition to avoid faults and promote safety. Replacement can be necessary, but this is recommended only when absolutely required.

Additional lights and sockets

Task, ambient or feature lighting is designed and installed with your preferences, with suitable controls offered to minimise energy wastage. Additional sockets are installed to reduce the need for extension leads, or in areas which have special requirements such as garages and workshops.

Outside lighting and power

Illumination for your deck, garden or house, or power for gardening equipment, pressure washers, or audio equipment, the installation of equipment needs to be done with typical UK weather in mind!

Outbuilding supplies

Detached garages, garden offices, sheds and other outbuildings can usually be powered from the main property's supply, with careful consideration for earthing, power requirements and the type of cable required.

Bathroom accessories

When it comes to mixing electricity with water, placement is key. Specific regulations need to be met, but there are lots of options available in terms of approach and products for lighting, charging and heating.

EICRs (including landlord testing)

Domestic inspections are highly recommended for home owners every 10 years, but required by law for landlords at least every 5 years. Testing is comprehensive, resulting in a detailed Electrical Inspection Condition Report (EICR).

Testing

A variety of testing services are available, based on need, using certified test equipment.

Fault finding

Got an electrical problem? Repair is not only less expensive than replacement, but prolongs device life, putting fewer demands on the planet's scare resources used in today's electrical systems.
